Police in Australia are currently investigating the tragic death of a one-year-old child, prompting a public appeal for information. The incident occurred at the child’s residence located approximately 110km northwest of Melbourne on Tuesday, November 4, when the child became unresponsive around noon. The child was rushed to the hospital by the mother, aged 26, and her partner, aged 18, but unfortunately passed away on Thursday, November 6.
Authorities from Victoria Police have stated that the circumstances leading to the child’s death are still under investigation. Detectives from the Homicide Squad and the Ballarat Child Abuse and Sexual Assault Investigation Team have been in contact with the child’s mother and her partner as part of the ongoing investigation.
