“Paramount+ Unveils New Revenge Thriller Premiering Next Month”

Must read

Paramount+ has revealed a sneak peek of an upcoming revenge thriller that is set to premiere sooner than anticipated.

The new six-part drama will make its debut on the streaming service next month and features a cast of familiar faces from popular television crime series.

Leading the ensemble are Martin Compston from Line of Duty and Aimée-Ffion Edwards from Slow Horses and Peaky Blinders, portraying characters named Calum and Emily who meet at a divorce support group. Together with four other individuals nursing broken hearts, they hatch a plan for revenge against those who have wronged them.

Joining the main cast are actors like Douglas Henshall from Shetland, Amit Shah from Happy Valley, Meera Syal from Mrs Sidu Investigates, Sharon Rooney from Daddy Issues, and Chaneil Kular from Sex Education.

The supporting cast includes Owen Teale from Line of Duty, Aoife Kennan from Vera, Rob Malone from The Witcher, Niamh Walsh, Wil Coban, Christina Bennington, and Eoin Duffy.

The thrilling storyline follows a group of six strangers brought together by their shared experiences of betrayal and heartbreak. Their initial idea of seeking revenge on their past tormentors evolves into a series of escalating events, blurring the lines between justice and madness.

“The Revenge Club” is a gripping revenge thriller that challenges the notion of whether seeking retribution can be more satisfying than love.

Based on JD Pennington’s novel “The Othello Club,” the series is scripted by Gabbie Asher of The Girlfriend fame. Paramount+ is currently offering a 50% discount on its Standard and Premium subscriptions until July 10.

Directed by Tim Kirkby, known for his work on Fleabag, and Daniel O’Hara of The Red King and Stay Close, the series promises an exciting viewing experience.

Readers can catch a glimpse of the main cast in fresh stills before the show’s premiere in just over a month.

“The Revenge Club” is set to premiere on Paramount+ on Friday, 12th December.
