Hundreds of households in Surrey may receive complimentary supermarket vouchers valued at £300 to assist with living expenses. The initiative, part of the Household Support Fund administered by Surrey County Council, aims to aid vulnerable families in need of support.

Residents of Surrey County Council can access the aid through the Everyday Essentials E-Voucher scheme if they are facing challenges in meeting food and essential needs. The vouchers can be utilized at various supermarkets such as Aldi, Asda, Farmfoods, Iceland, Morrisons, Sainsbury’s, Tesco, and Waitrose.

Eligibility for the scheme includes being a resident of Surrey aged 18 or above, maintaining household savings below £2,000 over a 90-day period, and having an annual household income under £27,007.50 before deductions.

Applicants are required to provide details of their income and household benefits. Applications for the vouchers open monthly, with the next round starting on February 3. Those who miss the current application period can reapply from March 2. Residents outside Surrey are advised to inquire with their local council for available support.

Nottingham City Council is offering £100 vouchers to individuals with low income or receiving benefits, with distribution ongoing until February 28, 2026. Wakefield Council is providing food vouchers to low-income households receiving council tax assistance.

Pensioners receiving Council Tax Support received a £70 voucher in November, with additional vouchers planned for other households. Families receiving Council Tax Support will receive a £50 voucher from December 15, while other eligible households will get a £70 voucher between December 3 and 12.

Blackpool Council is distributing £200 energy assistance to eligible households of one or two individuals, with qualifying households of three or more people receiving £300. To qualify for support, individuals must demonstrate financial hardship and challenges in bill payment, along with providing recent bank statements for all household members.
