Anunay Sood, a well-known travel influencer, has tragically passed away at the age of 32, as confirmed by his grieving family.
Based in Dubai, Sood had amassed a substantial online following of over 1.4 million on Instagram and documented his journeys across 46 countries. While an emotional statement was shared on his social media account, the exact cause of his sudden death during a visit to Las Vegas remains undisclosed.
The statement conveyed, “It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of our dear Anunay Sood. We request privacy and understanding during this challenging period. Please refrain from gathering near personal property. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones. May he rest in peace.”
Sood’s final Instagram post, taken in Las Vegas with actor Sung Kang from Fast and Furious, reflected on his time in America, stating: “Still can’t believe I spent the weekend surrounded by legends and dream machines. Which one would you take for a spin??”
Following the family’s message, fellow influencer Cameron Biafore, who was also part of the Las Vegas trip, expressed deep sadness over Sood’s passing, describing him as a shining presence. Biafore wrote, “You were such a bright light, and I was grateful to experience that even for a moment. Rest in peace, sweet Anunay; your impact and zest for life will always be remembered.”
The news of Sood’s demise has left his community in shock, with many taking to social media to mourn his loss and express disbelief. He had been featured in Forbes India’s Top 100 Digital Stars list for three consecutive years, from 2022 to 2024.
In a 2024 interview with Forbes India, Sood shared his enthusiasm for content creation, stating, “You have to adapt – I never considered Instagram and these platforms as my primary source of income. It was always secondary, driven by my passion for traveling and sharing it with others.”
