Jennifer Lawrence has announced the gender of her second child and shared her struggles with postpartum anxiety following the birth, leading her to fear she would harm her children. The Academy Award-winning actress welcomed her second child with art gallery director Cooke Maroney six months ago, revealing that the new addition to their family is a baby boy.
In a recent interview, Jennifer expressed her challenges with postpartum anxiety, admitting she felt overwhelmed and believed she was making mistakes as a parent. Her anxiety was so severe that she feared she was not caring for her child properly and would negatively impact their lives.
Jennifer recounted an incident where she sought advice from a chatbot about breastfeeding. The chatbot’s response, affirming her efforts as a loving mother, caused her to question the sincerity of the support she received from others, highlighting the depth of her anxiety.
Currently promoting her new film, “Die My Love,” Jennifer is sharing her personal struggles with anxiety. She disclosed that anxiety has been a long-standing challenge for her, causing her to constantly worry about upsetting others.
The actress also revealed that she experienced postpartum anxiety with her first child, Cy. While the anxiety was more intense after the birth of her second son, she still felt a sense of conflict with the world following Cy’s arrival.
