Rhodri Giggs, Brother of Ryan Giggs, Announces Engagement

Must read

Rhodri Giggs is preparing to tie the knot once again, 14 years after his brother’s infamous affair with his former wife. The 49-year-old has been in a relationship with Victoria Phillips for over a year and recently proposed to her.

The happy couple shared their engagement news on Instagram, with Victoria showcasing her stunning ring in a photo captioned “18/10/2025.” Rhodri humorously responded, saying, “Couldn’t say yes quicker enough. Thank you everyone, I agree she is very lucky.”

Following the announcement, the couple received an outpouring of well-wishes, including a congratulatory message from Coronation Street actor Andy Whyment.

This is not the first time Rhodri’s personal life has made headlines. In 2011, it was revealed that his brother, Ryan Giggs, had been having an affair with his then-wife, Natasha, causing a significant rift in the Giggs family and leading to Rhodri and Natasha’s divorce.

Despite the turmoil caused by the affair, Rhodri has reconciled with his brother over the years, even acknowledging that he benefited financially from the situation.

Rhodri, currently hosting a podcast and working in recruitment, gained prominence when news of the affair broke in 2011. He had a football career in the lower leagues, playing for teams like Salford and FC United before transitioning into coaching and eventually stepping away from professional sports.

In a recent development, Rhodri criticized the Premier League for not including his brother Ryan Giggs in the Hall of Fame shortlist. Expressing his disappointment on social media, Rhodri highlighted Ryan’s remarkable achievements with Manchester United, questioning the decision.

While Ryan Giggs did not make the cut, several of his former teammates, including Patrice Evra, Teddy Sheringham, Michael Carrick, and others, were nominated. Ultimately, Gary Neville and Eden Hazard were selected for induction into the Premier League Hall of Fame.

Sky has announced a discounted price for its Essential TV and Sky Sports bundle ahead of the upcoming season, offering members savings and access to over 1,400 live matches across various football leagues, including the Premier League and EFL. Sky will broadcast a minimum of 215 live Premier League games next season, an increase from previous years.
