“Body of Missing Boy Found in Clyde River Bay”

Must read

Search teams have located the body of a young boy who had been missing in Clyde River for over a week, as confirmed by the town’s mayor. The incident occurred on August 6 when two youths were drifting on makeshift rafts and were carried by the current further into the bay. One of the youths fell off his raft into the water and failed to resurface. Both individuals were without life jackets, as stated in a previous RCMP communication.

Mayor Liemikie Palluq of Clyde River announced on Friday morning that the body was discovered around 5 p.m. on Thursday evening. Authorities found the body on the opposite side of the bay from where the boy initially entered the water.

CBC’s requests for additional details from the RCMP have not yet been answered.
