Gemma Atkinson and Gorka Marquez have shared their intention to have a modest wedding once their children are older. The couple, who are parents to Mia and Tiago, have decided to wait for their kids to grow up before tying the knot.
Despite delaying their nuptials, Gemma and Gorka are planning a simple celebration. They are considering locations in Manchester or Spain for the ceremony. Originally, they intended to wait until Mia was older, but the arrival of Tiago changed their plans.
In a podcast called Lost In Translation, Gemma mentioned their desire to marry, expressing that they had wanted to do so earlier. Gorka agreed, and Gemma explained that they postponed the wedding as they didn’t want a young Tiago interrupting the ceremony.
The couple also contemplated a low-key wedding by simply signing a document and avoiding a grand affair. Gemma expressed her disinterest in a traditional white wedding and suggested a small post-wedding party instead.
Gemma recently shared her feelings about not marrying Gorka yet, attributing the delay to her late father. In a heartfelt letter on Father’s Day, she expressed her reluctance to walk down the aisle without her father by her side.
Reflecting on their future together, Gemma believed her father would have approved of Gorka and adored their children. She expressed her contentment with her choice of partner and shared her late father’s love for dancing and family.
