Kelsey Grammer, aged 70, has recently welcomed his eighth child with his fourth wife, Kayte Walsh. Their newborn son, Christopher, is the latest addition to their expanding family. During a podcast appearance on Pod Meets World, the proud father joyfully shared the news, stating, “Just had our fourth one, so it just became eight kids! It was like three days ago. Christopher just joined the family.”
The Frasier actor and Kayte now have a total of four children together. Christopher joins their daughter Faith, aged 13, and sons Kelsey Gabriel, 11, and Auden James, 8. Kelsey’s journey as a father began in 1983 with his first child, daughter Spencer, now 42, from his marriage to his first wife, Doreen Alderman.
In addition to his children with Kayte, Kelsey has daughter Kandace Greer, 33, from a previous relationship with Barrie Buckner, and daughters Mason, 24, and son Jude, 21, from his third wife, Camille Mayer. Notably, Kelsey has acted alongside Kandace in the Frasier revival and with Spencer in the television film “The 12 Days of Christmas Eve,” cherishing the opportunities to work with his children.
Reflecting on his children’s interest in the entertainment industry, Kelsey expressed pride during an interview with Variety. He emphasized his support for their choices, stating, “To think that all my kids…are all drawn to this industry. And she said, ‘That’s something to be proud of.’ It’s something I’ve never told them.” Kelsey also highlighted the challenges and blessings of being in the limelight, acknowledging the mixed reactions associated with his last name.
The Simpsons star shared that his greatest joy comes from having all his children together in one room. He attributed his work in the industry to enabling such family moments, expressing his desire to pass on the lessons and experiences he gained to his children.
