“Sky Announces Broadband and TV Price Hikes in April”

Must read

Sky has revealed upcoming price increases for certain broadband and TV subscribers starting in April. Broadband customers can expect a £3 monthly bump, while premium TV package rates will rise by £1 to £3. Sky will notify customers of these changes starting today.

Operating on a flexible pricing model, Sky allows customers under contract to cancel without penalties due to the price hikes coming into effect from April. On a positive note, millions of TV subscribers will soon have HBO Max, Disney+, and Hayu as part of their standard package offerings.

In addition to the current inclusion of Netflix, the combined value of streaming apps will total £20 per month. A Sky representative stated that the adjustments in broadband and TV prices aim to balance investments in speedier broadband, top-notch entertainment, live sports, and dependable services while managing industry-wide cost increases.

Last week, Sky Mobile users witnessed bill increases of £1.50 monthly, totaling £18 annually for most customers. The updated rates will reflect on bills from February 14, 2026, marking the first price adjustment for in-contract Sky Mobile users in over seven years.

Customers dissatisfied with the price hikes can terminate their contracts without early termination fees if still under the minimum term. The price for the social tariff on Sky Mobile, tailored for low-income individuals, will remain unchanged.

For those out of contract, there might be potential savings by comparing mobile and broadband prices online. Reviewing current usage levels for minutes, texts, and broadband speed can help avoid paying for unnecessary allowances. Consider switching providers or negotiating with the current one for better deals. Eligibility for reduced social tariffs should be explored by individuals receiving benefits.
