A court heard that a teenager, allegedly involved in the murder of a 14-year-old boy, bragged about the crime in a rap video shortly after the incident. The victim, Ibrahima Seck, was fatally stabbed while on his way to a football game in the New Moston area of Manchester in June. Despite receiving aid from nearby residents, he succumbed to his injuries in the hospital.
Three teenage boys, aged 14 and 16, are currently on trial for the murder, with their identities protected due to their age. Prosecutors claim that the accused individuals, along with a larger group, had been threatening Ibrahima and his associates prior to the fatal attack.
According to the prosecution, Ibrahima was pursued by the group, leading to his eventual fall. Subsequently, one of the accused allegedly knelt over him and inflicted the fatal stab wound while being goaded on by the others. The prosecution further alleged that the perpetrator recorded himself after the incident, rapping about the murder before showing the video to his accomplices.
Witnesses, including Ibrahima’s brothers, reportedly heard the attacker demand something before the stabbing. The prosecution emphasized that the act was intentional and not accidental. Although CCTV footage did not capture the stabbing itself, audio recordings presented in court depicted the chaos of the moment.
Following the stabbing, two women reportedly assisted in removing two of the defendants from the scene. The teenagers have denied charges of murder and manslaughter, while the women deny aiding an offender. The trial at Manchester Crown Court is ongoing.
